La Bartola

When the prestigious MICHELIN Guide made its Toronto debut in September 2022, La Bartola was awarded the Bib Gourmand designation for creating delicious and affordable food

The vegan restaurant celebrates the cooking of Mexican women in its simple, authentic menu that features bold flavours and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Meals can be perfectly paired with the variety of specialty drinks and cocktails. Brunch is available on weekends from noon to 4:00 p.m.

Ital Vital

Govinda’s

Thali platters featuring a tasty selection of vegan dishes plus savoury samosas and basmati rice are available at this vegetarian/vegan fusion Indian restaurant

Nourish Moi

This mother-daughter owned restaurant in Port Credit, creates nourishing dishes made from scratch with whole foods that are free of preservatives and sodium and desserts that are naturally sweetened.

Raw Aura

Experience raw vegan cuisine in Port Credit, Mississauga. Open Tuesday to Saturday, menu items include popular appetizers such as kale chips and pizzas, and mains include delicious zucchini noodles tossed in flavourful marinades.

King’s Café

Located in the heart of Kensington Market, King’s Café has been a staple for vegetarians for decades perfecting delicious mock meats in the Chinese, Japanese and Indian-inspired menu. There’s also a small selection of vegetarian grocery products for sale.

Fresh

One of the pioneering plant-based restaurants in Toronto, Fresh has grown from its original Queen Street pop-up juice bar location to opening several vegan restaurants throughout the city and one in Hamilton.

Sookham Restaurant

Sookham means ‘happiness’ in Sanskrit and the menu selection and fragrant aroma of the food will make you smile.

The homemade meals feature warm and nourishing spices inspired by the principles of Ayurveda. If you still have room to eat dessert, try the dairy-free mango turmeric ice cream drizzled with crunchy pistachios.

Niagara’s first vegan restaurant and all-vegan bakery specializes in delicious and healthy comfort food.

The Lemon Tree Bistro

A casual Mediterranean and European-focused restaurant with sharing mezze platters and charcuterie boards, dips, salads, wraps, burgers and pizza and a great selection for kids.

Southwestern Ontario 

Carrots N’ Dates

Eating your greens is no problem when dining at this restaurant where salads come in a rainbow of colours and flavours are elevated to new heights with ingredients such as blueberries and roasted beets.

There is also a kids’ menu, so the little ones can also enjoy items such as Baby Kombucha and tender rice noodles.

In addition to the Tecumseh location, about 20 minutes east of Windsor, a second location opened up at 116 Pitt Street in Cornwall, along the St. Lawrence River.

Nooch

Vegetarians fondly refer to the dairy-free cheese alternative nutritional yeast as ‘nooch’.

At Windsor’s first fully vegan comfort food restaurant, you will find delicious nooch in many zesty plant-based food options. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to appreciate these flavours.

Chickpeas

Treat yourself to a mouth-watering assortment of Middle Eastern Cuisine including falafels and hummus prepared from scratch. Turkish, Arabic and regular coffee are also available, in addition to teas.

Deli Lama & Buddha's Bakery and Café  

Located inside Bracebridge's popular health food store, Deli Lama and Buddha's Bakery is a deli-style restaurant that serves vegan and vegetarian food.

Enjoy a variety of healthy and tasty dishes, such as filling rice bowls, fresh soups and a variety of colourful smoothies.

Bruce, Grey and Simcoe

VeganCo.

This seasonal plant-based food truck serves a select menu of vegan comfort food that does not sacrifice on flavour or taste. With the slogan ‘we make plants unhealthy’, get ready for indulgent vegan sliders, burgers, tacos and poutine. Most days, you’ll find them parked at The Collingwood Brewery until the end of September.

Shine Plant Based Kitchen

Creamy homemade dressings and dips are just a small sample of the items made from scratch from Shine Plant Based Kitchen. Choose from delicious fruit and plant-based milk smoothies, healthy burger patties and custom-made pizzas.

Mexhico

Unwind, relax and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine with lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options in a cozy restaurant with brilliantly colourful and inviting decor.

Main meal selections include tacos with homemade seitan marinated pineapple and guajillo chilli sauce. Treat your palate to items on the menu that offer more heat, such as the cerviche tostadas. Dessert options include churros with ice cream and cayenne pepper brownies. Vegan beer and alcohol are also available.

Sabitri's Global Cuisine

The extensive menu at this Indian and Nepalese restaurant features many vegetarian and vegan options.

Popular dishes include curries, soups home made naan bread. Enjoy patio dining in the summertime.

Kawarthas and Northumberland

Revelstoke Café

Brunch menu options are served all day at this  plant-based restaurant.

Located in a hip and inclusive space, patrons can also enjoy lively entertainment while dining on hearty comfort food.

Super Natural Vegan Cuisine

Located in the Kawartha Lakes, Super Natural Vegan Cuisine offers a diverse menu that includes chili starters to main meals, such as Shepherd’s Pie and lasagna.

Northern Ontario

Bliss Cafe

This vegan restaurant offers gluten-free products and takes pride in not using refined sugar in its desserts. Take-out and delivery options are available to enjoy soups, chilis, salads, sandwiches, wraps, bowls, burgers and desserts.

North Star Diner

Open Thursdays to Saturdays, North Bay’s plant-based diner changes its delicious menu options often, while also offering unique drink offerings and vintage décor, so it’s worth paying a repeat visit.
