Interesting facts about the Oxford County Cheese Trail
Oxford County is the renowned Dairy Capital of Canada. After the launch of the county’s cheese trail in 2015, Tourism Oxford was awarded the Ontario Culinary Tourism Award of Excellence for Leadership. It also won the Event of the Year in 2019 for its annual Big Cheese Days event, ranking it among the top artisan cheese experiences.
The Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum contains over 4,500 artifacts related to the significant cheese-making history in Oxford County.
