Tips for visiting a Christmas tree farm

Some things to keep in mind for visiting a tree farm are:

  • Dress warmly with comfortable footwear and clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
  • Bring work gloves for when you’re handling the tree.
  • Consider bringing your own hand saw in case there are limited saws available at the farm. Note, electric or powered chainsaws are generally not permitted.
  • Other tools to bring include twine, a tarp to help transport big trees and to line your car, and ropes and cords to secure your tree on your vehicle.
  • Some tree farms welcome well-behaved, leashed dogs. Always check in advance before you bring your four-legged friend.
