Elora and Fergus are a quaint duo of towns in Southern Ontario, bustling with unique shops, eateries, galleries and artists’ studios.

Elora is a draw for the Grand River Raceway, the Elora Festival, the picturesque Elora Gorge and Riverfest Elora, an annual music festival held in August.

Fergus is known for its boutique shopping, historic architecture and the annual Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games that attracts world-class competitors and entertainers. These games are said to be the world’s largest gathering of clans outside Scotland and Cape Breton.

Located at the connection of the Grand and Irvine Rivers, Elora and Fergus sit northeast of Guelph.

Elora and Fergus are just under a two hour drive from Toronto. Alternatively, the Parkbus offers day trip bus excursions.

Celebrate Scottish culture

Fergus is known for hosting the annual Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games. This three-day event features Celtic musicians, highland dancers, whisky tasting and Scottish wares.

Grab a bite before exploring the city at The Elora Bread Trading Company, specializing in handcrafted, artisanal bread, baked goods and sandwiches.

Stroll through the gardens

Walk among the limestone structures of the beautiful Templin Gardens in Fergus. If you seal your love with a kiss while seated on the Kissing Stone, good luck will forever be with you.

Bike through town

Cycle the Elora Bicycle Tour. This two-hour tour guides you through the Elora Gorge, the town’s historic downtown core and bicycle paths along the Grand River.
