Take a Walk on the Edge: EdgeWalk CN Tower
This will be the thrill of a lifetime. Visitors walk in groups, while attached to an overhead safety rail via a trolley and harness system. It’s a hands-free, entirely circular experience you won’t soon forget.
About EdgeWalk CN Tower
The EdgeWalk at the CN Tower is the first attraction of its kind in North America and has adventure lovers taking a walk 116 stories above the ground around the circumference of one of Canada’s most famous landmarks.
In fact, in November 2011 EdgeWalk at the CN Tower was presented with the Guinness World Record for the “Highest External Walk on a Building”.
CN Tower Walk — Some Shared Experiences
So, do you dare to test your limits and experience the thrill of a lifetime? Start preparing yourself with accounts from the adventurers who have already done this EdgeWalk experience.
Steve Murray of the National Post loved EdgeWalk, CN Tower’s new outdoor attraction, 356 metres (1168 feet) above the ground:
While you can’t bring your camera out on the walk, all Edgewalkers have their experience documented in a photo & video that they take home and can share with friends and family.
Those Edgewalkers brave enough to look down the 356 metres to the base of the tower also might catch a glimpse of the Toronto Blue Jays practicing for the game — the walk has a bird’s-eye view of the Rogers Centre!
Weddings at EdgeWalk CN Tower
This is a wild one: on the CN Tower walk, you can actually get married! The site has information on it. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, and that all weddings are basically the same, there’s a wedding on a high-rise open-air platform. That’s not one any guest will forget!
Visiting EdgeWalk CN Tower
How does it work? Well, it’s safe because you’re all strapped in and supported by guides. Trained EdgeWalk guides encourage visitors to push your personal limits. You can even lean back over Toronto, secure in your harness, with nothing but air and breathtaking views of Lake Ontario beneath you. Thanks to the highest international safety and security standards in mind, it’ll feel terrifying, but you’ll actually be entirely safe.
EdgeWalk runs 1.5 hours, and your time on the outdoor walk lasts around 30 minutes.
