Visiting rural pumpkin patches and farms provides a charming escape for friends and families looking for an autumn adventure. Enjoy fall festivities and pick the perfect pumpkin for carving and home decoration.

Here are some of the best pumpkin patches, pumpkin farms and pumpkin festivals in Ontario this fall. Check the days and hours of operation before you set out.

York, Durham and Headwaters

Pumpkinfest at Downey’s Farm

A Caledon staple for over 100 years, Downey’s Farm is a fourth-generation family farm that welcomes visitors from the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., experience live entertainment, goat mountain slides and so much more. Your kids will enjoy travelling on wagon rides, petting the farm animals, cycling down the pedal cart track and playing in a three-hectare corn maze at the Pumpkinfest Play Area. To access the play area, tickets must be purchased in advance. For weekend Play Area visits, it is recommended that you purchase your tickets one to three days in advance.

Pumpkinfest runs September 20 to October 31, 2025.

Harvest Festival at Pingle’s Farm

Pick your own apples, pumpkins, strawberries, corn and tomatoes during the Harvest Festival at Pingle’s Farm.

Toddlers and older kids alike will love exploring the 2.5-hectare circus-themed corn maze and Pingle’s Playland, animal area and wagon rides. Enjoy a meal from Pingle’s fall-inspired menu, which includes pizza, brisket, fried apples and other sweet and savoury treats. Pair your meal with a hot drink from Pingle’s Coffee Shack.

The festival runs throughout September and October. Get your tickets online in advance.

Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm

Stroll through the scenic pumpkin field to find your perfect gourd at the Buzzing Bees Adventure Farm.

In addition to the pumpkins, shop for honey and maple syrup and wander past straw bales and corn stalks. The highlight of the farm for the kids is a sweeping 3.5-hectare corn maze, re-opening September 13, 2025. The farm also features a pedal kart track, pumpkin bowling, an elastic band shooting range, toddler pedal tractors and more.

Warner Ranch and Pumpkin Farm

Explore pumpkins of all shapes and sizes at the Warner Ranch and Pumpkin Farm. You’ll find the perfect Halloween decorations among the thousands of gourds, corn stalks, hay bales, apples and straw.

Don’t miss the animal viewing area, corn maze, unicorn rides and Belgian horse-drawn hayrides offered on the weekends.

If you’re visiting on a weekend in October, grab a bite at the Cool Licks food truck.

Fall Festival at Howells Farm

There are plenty of fun attractions for kids this year at the Howells Pumpkin Farm.

Bounce on the “Jumping Pillow,” a safe, inflatable trampoline, and run through the “Super Corny Cobbs Maze Adventure,” a fun corn maze with interactive games with varying difficulty levels. Embark on a scenic wagon ride over the rolling hills and learn how corn, pumpkins and sunflowers grow. Visit the friendly animals in the Animal Farm and zoom down the giant 12-metre slide.

Prepare for fascination at the pumpkin light show display, the singing chicken show and more for endless captivation and laughs.

The central Market Area of the farm is free to enter, but you’ll need to purchase the General Admission Fun Pass to enjoy all the attractions, including the Howl’n Theme area.

October Pumpkin Patch Festival at Dyment’s Glen Drummond Farm

Celebrate the fall season during the October Pumpkin Patch Festival at Dyment’s Glen Drummond Farm.

Enjoy seasonally themed activities such as a kid-friendly haunted house, farm play areas, nine-hole mini putt, a Trike Track and a corn trail.

Take a scenic wagon ride along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment to the pumpkin patch and pick your perfect pumpkin! Refuel with food and drinks from Dyment’s Food Truck.

Buy your tickets at the farm’s gatehouse. Only cash is accepted.

Springridge Farm

Be transported back to the 19th century at the historic Springridge Farm. Explore the expansive pumpkin patch and visit the “Fun Farmyard”, which includes a crank steam tractor, giant sandbox, farm animals, wagon rides and more.

Large Muskoka chairs invite you to sit and relax while watching over kids playing in the crisp autumn air. Pick up some fresh baked goods to take home with you.

Huron, Perth, Waterloo and Wellington

Farrell’s Pick-Your-Own Farm

Farrell’s Pick-Your-Own Farm is a much-loved fourth-generation farm in the Huron-Kinloss Township’s agricultural community.

In addition to picking out your pumpkin, check out the farm animals, play in the giant sandbox and enjoy harvest activities like riding the wagon and navigating the corn maze.

Visit the pumpkin patch on a Friday night in October, during “Flashlight Friday”, bring your flashlight and creep through the spooky corn maze.

The Pick-Your-Own is open every weekend in October.

Bruce, Grey and Simcoe

Fall Festival at Chappell Farms

During the Fall Festival at Chappell Farms, take in the farm views, wander through the puzzling sunflower maze and find the perfect pumpkin.

Kids will love riding along the tricycle track, interacting with the farm animals and watching a special magic show performed just for them.

The festival runs from September 20 to October 31, 2025. Admission includes one pick-your-own pumpkin. Tickets can be purchased online.

Pumpkin Mania at Rounds Ranch

Experience the fun of fall during Pumpkin Mania at Rounds Ranch.

From tractor rides to the pumpkin patch to the wide range of pumpkin-themed games, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the season. Swing down ziplines, ride on ponies, travel on pedal carts and run through the Low Ropes course. If you’re brave enough, wait until dark to navigate the Flashlight Corn Maze.

This year’s Pumpkin Mania runs on the weekends from September 21 to October 27, 2025. 

Save on admission by booking in advance online. Alternatively, you can buy your tickets at the gate. Rounds Ranch tickets include a free pumpkin of any size and colour from the pumpkin patch.

Morrison Pumpkin Farm

A family-run pumpkin farm in South Georgian Bay, Morrison Pumpkin Farm offers inviting fall experiences for families.

Explore the corn maze, check out the pumpkin patch and admire the striking fall displays. Browse the selection of fresh produce, including over 50 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourds. They’re great for your next fall-themed cooking dish or to decorate your porch for the season.

The farm is open daily from the first week of September to October 31, 2025. Admission is free.

Southeastern Ontario

Wynn Farms

Explore one of the best corn mazes in Ontario at Wynn Farms.

Hundreds of hours of work go into creating this iconic corn maze, which spans several hectares—you can even explore the maze at night under the moonlight! Embark on a royal quest and solve puzzles within the enchanted corn maze.

Visit Wynn Farms for the Pumpkin Festival on October 18 and 19, Kids Happy Halloween on October 26 and the Haunted Hallowynn on October 24 and 25 for family-friendly immersion into the joy and spookiness of fall.

The maze will be open daily from August 16 to October 31, 2025. Reservations are not required.

The Campbell’s Orchards

The pumpkin patch at Campbell’s Orchards typically opens for guests just before Thanksgiving Weekend in mid-October.

Set out with a wheelbarrow to select your choice of one or several pumpkins. Visit the farm market and bakery for sweet, savoury and fruity treats to take home.

Fall Pumpkin Days at Saunders Farm

Enjoy the season to the fullest during Fall Pumpkin Days at Saunders Farm.

This Ottawa farm features outdoor attractions like wagon rides, hedge mazes, ziplines and carnival games. There's no shortage of fall activities, whether it’s the excitement of exploring the array of mazes and playgrounds or an idyllic wagon ride through the pumpkin and farm fields.

After a fun-filled day at the farm, enjoy a cup of delicious cider at the CiderHouse or tasty treats at the Snack Shack. Visit between September 20 and October 26, 2025. Purchase tickets online in advance.

PéPé’s Pumpkin Patch

Choose from pumpkins of all shapes and sizes at PéPé’s Pumpkin Patch.

Previous years’ activities have included train rides, hayrides, corn mazes and face painting. 

Shop for great fall decorations, including gourds, straw, pumpkins and chrysanthemums.
