Applewood Farm Winery

North of Port Perry, overlooking Lake Scugog, Applewood Farm Winery is a family-run farm specializing in finely crafted fruit wines, mead and ciders.

This award-winning farm and winery has harvested fresh honey and fruit from their farm for nearly 25 years.

Pick your apples and strawberries before heading to the tasting room for the delicious cider made from the same farm-grown ingredients, like the Strawberry Rhubarb Cider.

Spirit Tree Estate Cidery

Spirit Tree Estate offers a taste adventure with a wide range of both sweet and hard ciders, along with a fantastic on-site bakery and bistro.

Stop by for the “behind the scenes” guided tour of the estate, including a visit to the orchard, cellar and production facility while tasting three of Spirit Tree’s most popular ciders.

Two Blokes Cider

Two Blokes Cider creates award-winning varieties of cider using authentic cider apples and methods inspired by the founders’ time spent in the United Kingdom.

Several different flights are served in the tasting room and special events are hosted on the farm.

Slabtown Cider Co.

Slabtown Cider is a family-owned and operated cidery and orchard. It sits on 36 hectares of land surrounded by forest, trails and rolling fields.

Archibald’s Estate Winery

Open Friday to Sunday, Archibald’s Estate Winery has been growing apples since 1967, and only uses the freshest of fruits in their products.

Visit for a tour and tasting and take in the picturesque orchard while sipping on fresh cider. In addition to refreshing ciders with and without alcohol, farm products include wine, preserves, fresh apples in season and delicious baked goods such as the popular caramel apple dumplings.

Twin Pines Orchards & Cider House

Set on a 20-hectare property in Lambton Shores, Twin Pines produces its cider apples and berries as well as a large selection of other fruits and vegetables. Enjoy tasting the variety of traditional hard ciders, as well as perry and apple wine.

Despite its size and accolades, Twin Pines Orchards and Cider House remains an unassuming local favourite hidden away on the edges of Lake Huron, less than an hour’s drive from London.

Duntroon Cyder House

Just south of Collingwood, this rural property invites visitors to experience traditional cider made with Duntroon Parish heritage apples. Duntroon Cyder House’s ciders are free of added sugar and preservatives, using traditional European methods.

Year round, the Cyder House invites you, and the whole family (yes even your furry family) to discover the Duntroon Experience, where you’ll try a variety of flights, snacks and activities, while basking in scenic farm views.

East Street Cider Co.

Just north of Bayfield in Goderich is Huron County’s first craft cidery.

East Street Cider crafts its ciders using 100% Ontario apples and are focused on making straightforward, refreshing cider that everyone can enjoy—this includes gluten-free cider!

In addition to a terrific selection of craft cider and beer served in the taproom, special events include baking, bingo, comedy and pilates.

Revel Cider

Cider connoisseurs will want to sample the variety of flavours brewed at Revel Cider. Experience the full spectrum of flavour and taste Revel’s cutting-edge fruit, leaf, root and flower fermented cider.

West Avenue is a sweet treat, with an onsite Farm Store and Bakeshop at Somerset Orchards. Artisanal ciders are made from heritage apples grown in the orchards, keeping the profile of traditional country flavours.

It is worth the visit for the monthly specials, which are seasonally inspired and exclusive to the Cider House.

West Avenue’s range of classic ciders is always popular, but don’t skip out on their Legend of the Fall cider, inspired by Spanish sidras.

Located on the outskirts of Hamilton, West Avenue Cider House also offers a mini guided tourthree-bedroom cottage for guests to stay on the property and more fresh experiences.

Loch Mór Cider Company

Holding its own among wine-making heavyweights in Prince Edward County, Loch Mór Cider Company has been producing beautiful European-inspired ciders since 2017.

The name “Loch Mór” is Irish Gaelic for “Great Lake,” pairing the traditional origins of ciders with the one-of-a-kind Lake Ontario you can view from the cidery’s al fresco dining space.

If you love a good dry cider, try the Pommeau—it’s a delicious barrel-aged, fortified cider, perfect with a platter of cheese.

Southwestern Ontario

Hounds of Erie Winery

This dog-friendly estate was borne out of a passion for wine, cider and dogs.

Named after the nearby Lake Erie, the boutique family-owned winery crafts small batch wines and ciders.

Take a stop in the proverbial Dog House or drinking this hard cider of the same name, made from golden russet apples with fresh Ontario Citra Hops.

Grab a glass and take your pup for a self-guided tour through the orchard. During summer, Hounds of Erie celebrates the ‘Dog Days of Summer,’ with special events dedicated to a different dog breed each Sunday.

Muskoka, Algonquin Park and Parry Sound

Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery

For something a little different, head to Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery just north of Bala, in the heart of Muskoka. Famous for their signature cranberry wines, cider lovers will be delighted to sample Cliff Jump Cranberry Cider, which combines Ontario apples with Muskoka-grown cranberries to create an unforgettable taste of summer.

In the fall, the equally popular Cranberry Plunge with Muskoka Lakes Farm cranberry sausage on a bun is a must. There’s more delicious food and drink on the menu at McArthur House Cafe, so make it a day trip and explore the nearby Cranberry Hiking Trails.

Brooker’s Cider
