Muskoka and Parry Sound

Off Road ATV Tours Ontario

No riding experience is required to get out on the trails at Off Road ATV Tours Ontario, located just 20 minutes north of Huntsville in the town of Kearney. 

Climb into a powerful Can-Am Maverick 800cc side-by-side and head out on guided tours through forested backcountry, tackling rocky climbs, winding trails and muddy terrain.

Tours run in multiple daily time slots and are all-inclusive: vehicle, fuel, trail pass, helmet, safety gear, guide, a snack and refreshments. Riders as young as eight years old are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you have your own ATV, you can also join a group tour for a set fee.

Backcountry Tours in Muskoka

With access to more than 3,000 kilometres of deep forest trails on the Canadian Shield, Backcountry Tours operates guided ATV adventures from its Muskoka location in the Lake of Bays area near Dwight. 

Half-day and full-day guided tours are available, along with multi-day ATV camping adventures and group packages for corporate events, stag and bachelorette parties and birthdays.

ATV rentals are also available at this location for those who prefer to head out independently.

Deerhurst Resort

Set on more than 800 acres of Muskoka wilderness near Huntsville, Deerhurst Resort offers guided ATV and side-by-side tours through varied backcountry terrain. 

Expert instructors provide a full safety lesson and orientation before heading out, making this an ideal option for first-time riders.

All-inclusive two-hour tours use Yamaha ATVs and side-by-sides and include the vehicle, riding equipment, fuel and a guided ride. Open to all skill levels, with children aged six and older welcome. Tours are seasonal; book online or by phone.

Northeastern Ontario

Marten River Lodge

One of the few Northern Ontario lodges to offer guided UTV tours exclusively for its guests, Marten River Lodge takes riders deep into old-growth forests, secluded lakes and remote bogs via hundreds of kilometres of old logging roads, bush trails and hydro lines — all accessible right from the lodge’s driveway.

Tours use new Honda UTVs that are fully automatic with four-wheel drive and can carry up to four passengers. Guides are on hand to navigate the terrain, point out wildlife and share their knowledge of the surrounding wilderness. 

Combine a guided UTV tour with a stay at the lodge for a full Northern Ontario backcountry experience.

Birch Lodge

Located 12 kilometres north of Blind River, roughly halfway between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, Birch Lodge offers guided ATV tours through remote bush trails, old logging roads and off-map lake country that few visitors ever see. Expert guides lead riders to secluded shorelines and scenic outlooks deep in the Algoma Region.

After a day on the trails, retreat to one of the lodge’s fully equipped waterfront cottages on the quiet shores of Granary Lake — a natural base for a multi-day backcountry ATV getaway. Guided ATV tours are priced per person and include supper plus breakfast and lunch on the trail the following day.

Backcountry Tours

With rental locations in both Muskoka and the Haliburton Highlands, Backcountry Tours is one of Ontario’s most accessible ATV rental providers. 

Rentals come with access to more than 3,000 kilometres of deep forest trails on the Canadian Shield. Guided tour upgrades are available at both locations.

Simcoe Adventures
