Explore Prince Edward County wineries

The Grange of Prince Edward, PEC
Almost entirely surrounded by Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte, this lakeside peninsula creates a unique microclimate, making it feel more like an island. It’s also one of Ontario’s most northerly established appellations. The topography and mixed limestone, clay and shale soils also contribute to the distinctive quality of its cool-climate wines.
With sustainable production and innovative crafting, this once-rural area has transformed into a pioneering grape-growing and wine-making region. The County is home to over 40 wineries, each with its own specialties, character and charm. Several feature an on-site restaurant or a pared-down menu of sharables, charcuterie boards or seasonal pizzas to complement their tasting flights.
From communities west to east, here’s a selection of some of the best wineries and wine-inspired food experiences. Please note that operating hours may vary seasonally, and reservations are typically required for large groups.
