Home to countless lakes, the Canadian Shield and boreal forests, each Ontario golf course is as diverse as its location.
A season that runs from April through October gives you plenty of time to play the maximum number of rounds at Ontario’s top tracks. Consider bundling courses, for example, playing 18 holes on Friday, 27 or 36 holes on Saturday and 18 more on Sunday while staying at a central hotel or resort. Several offer ‘Stay and Play packages and other specials.
Here is a list of some of Ontario's top golf destinations.
Bruce, Grey and Simcoe
Located on Lake Simcoe, Barrie has a large public beach and a historic downtown core with great shopping, dining and golf courses nearby. Located between Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach, Collingwood offers four seasons of activities, including fantastic golf.
Innisbrook Golf
Located in Barrie’s south end, just minutes from Highway, Innisbrook is easy to get to. At 4,521 yards and a par of 64, this course is not only fun to play, it also features an inviting clubhouse, restaurant and outdoor patio.

Landings of Willow Creek
This par 36 course is made for walking with its 9-hole regulation length featuring 14 bunkers and two water hazards. It’s an excellent course for a Friday night arrival or squeezing in one more round before leaving on Sunday.

Bear Creek Golf Club
With three distinct 18-hole combinations on the 27-hole course, Bear Creek offers variety to enhance your golfing experience. The average is par per nine holes here is 35 and measures approximately 2,800 yards. A relaxing clubhouse with a covered patio and the Bear Paw Grill offer sustenance after a long day of golfing.

Cranberry Golf Course
With 6,618 yards of expansive fairways and magnificent Blue Mountain as the backdrop, this course is both challenging and scenic. Check out the food app to avoid line-ups and have meals delivered on the course.

Monterra Golf
Located at Blue Mountain Resort, Monterra is a 6,581-yard, par-72 gem. With many restaurants and activities around the mountain, this golf course can certainly brag about having a great location.

The Golf Club at Lora Bay
One of Ontario’s most scenic courses with its Georgian Bay backdrop, Lora Bay’s five tee decks offer a challenging test for seasoned golfers and an enjoyable day for casual golfers. Located in charming Thornbury, just a short drive west of Collingwood.

Southeastern Ontario
Situated on the Bay of Quinte, Belleville is a unique urban centre with a small-town feel. Its local golf courses are also far from ordinary.
The beautiful city of Kingston is steeped in history and features a gorgeous waterfront, exciting cuisine, all price points for accommodations and several golf courses nearby.
Black Bear Ridge
This is a challenging, must-play course for passionate golfers. Over seven thousand yards from the tips and challenging greens, all in a traditional parkland layout, this course demands that you use every club in your bag.

The Trillium Wood Golf Club
A par 72 course that plays between 4,900 and 6,700 yards from four tee decks on over 200 acres of scenic landscape. It's a delight to play, equipped with electric carts and a relaxing restaurant that overlooks the 18th hole.

The Landings Golf Course
Located next door to Norman Rogers Airport in Kingston’s west end, this 18-hole, par 63 course has a 4,200-yard layout and a full practice range featuring a 25,000 square feet grass tee deck, a large practice putting green and beautiful views of Lake Ontario.

Garrison Golf and Curling Club
This 18-hole, par 72 golf course is located within CFB Kingston, so you know it has been laid out with military precision. The property includes a clubhouse and snack bar. Although many of the regulars are military personnel, visiting golfers are more than welcome.

Amherstview Golf Club
It’s easy to walk this 18-hole, par 72 and 6,232-yard course. It has a layout that’s not too intimidating for beginners. If you prefer to ride, a new fleet of Yamaha golf carts are available. A food truck beside the 10th hole keeps you energized for the back nine.

Southwestern Ontario
Play great courses in and around Windsor and enjoy everything else Ontario’s southernmost city has to offer, including full-service hotels, culinary offerings and even Caesar’s Windsor.
Seven Lakes Golf
After conquering the 6,802-yard championship course, take on the adjacent 9-hole course, which was the property’s original track.

Ambassador Golf Club
The Ambassador measures from 5,300 yards to over 7,000 yards, depending on how brave you are in selecting your tees. With full banquet facilities, the Tuscan House Grill and more, the full Ambassador experience is a must-do.

Roseland Golf Club
This is the only municipal course in Canada designed by legendary course architect, Donald Ross. You’ll find classic parkland golf here on the championship 18-hole course and the challenging 9-hole, par-3 track.

York, Durham and Headwaters
From the Niagara Escarpment to the Oak Ridges Moraine, Caledon is known for spectacular landscapes and dazzling topography, which lend themselves well to excellent golf.
Located just 45 minutes from Toronto, Uxbridge is an inviting community with great food, local breweries, various accommodations and the outdoors at your fingertips, including awesome golf courses.
In addition to the largest amusement park in the country, Canada’s Wonderland, and Vaughan Mills, one of Canada's largest shopping centres, Vaughan is also home to outstanding golf.
Caledon Golf and Country Club
Opened in 1960, this 18-hole public course measures 6,505 yards from the longest tees. Its location in the valley of Caledon Hills makes for a day that’s as picturesque as it is challenging.

Glen Eagle Golf Club
Glen Eagle also offers three distinct 9-hole layouts that allow golfers to play three different 18-hole combinations or 27 holes in one day. Each of the 9 holes is par 36, with an average length of 3,400 yards.

Mill Run Golf Club
Home to two golf courses with a combined 45 holes, the championship course offers three unique nines, the Wheel, Grist, and Grind, totalling 6,662 yards. They also offer an 18-hole Highland executive course. The clubhouse at Mill Run is open year-round.

Wooden Sticks

Copper Creek
Located just 35 minutes north of downtown Toronto, this course is a par 72 laid out on 7,074 yards and is home to the Kleinburg Room and Bistro for fine or casual dining with a spectacular terrace overlooking the valley. Algonquin, Muskoka and Parry Sound
Only two hours north of Toronto, you’ll feel a world away in Gravenhurst with views of Muskoka’s forested areas, beautiful lakes and rocky outcroppings of the Canadian Shield.

About a 15-minute drive north of Gravenhurst in Bracebridge, Muskoka Highlands caters to beginner golfers with a 3,000-yard course within the 6,000-yard championship course. What’s also unique about this property is that dogs are welcome.

Deerhurst Highlands
Deerhurst’s par 72 course is consistently ranked among Canada’s top 100 public courses. Huntsville Downs Golf

Niagara is the home to one of the great wonders of the world. It also boasts spectacular courses. Come for the falls and stay for the golf.
Beechwood Golf
Built on the site of a War of 1812 battle, this property has some interesting history. The “Old Barn” section of the clubhouse was built in 1883. Play the 6,653-yard, par 72 course and enjoy the restaurant's pub-style pizzas fit for a golfer’s appetite.

Established in 1875, this is Ontario’s oldest golf course. Situated along the Niagara River and steps from the quaint shops on Victoria Street in charming Niagara-on-the-Lake. This is an 18-hole stroll you’ll not soon forget.

Grand Niagara Golf Club
Minutes from the Fallsview tourist area and along the Welland Canal stand 36 holes of unforgettable golf designed by two of the sport’s legends, Rees Jones and Greg Norman. Admire picturesque, rolling fairways from tee decks measuring under 6,000 yards for the novice and up to over 7,000 yards for the avid player looking for a true test.

Ottawa Region
The capital of Canada, Ottawa is brimming with epic history, architecture, culture, culinary and golf courses.
The Marshes Golf Club
This scenic public golf club is part of the Brookstreet Hotel complex in the Ottawa suburb of Kanata, featuring an 18-hole championship golf course and a 9-hole PGA-approved short course. In addition to great rooms and suites, Brookstreet also offers fine dining opportunities, a lounge and a café.

The Pine View

The Meadows Golf and Country Club
Four unique nines make The Meadows a premier golf destination in the Ottawa area. World-class golf, scenery and food make it a favourite of locals and visitors alike.

Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma
Located where two of the Great Lakes meet, Sault Ste. Marie has the best of both worlds — urban amenities coupled with some of the best outdoor adventures in the Algoma region. And what’s more, it’s home to great golf.
Crimson Ridge
Waterfalls, creeks, numerous elevation changes, mature hardwoods and incredible views add to the ambiance of this par 72, 6,810-yard course. The on-site restaurant Embers offers both pub fare and fine dining.

Silver Creek
Located just outside Sault Ste. Marie in the Garden River First Nation, this 18-hole championship layout is one of Northern Ontario’s longest courses. It is a par 72, measuring 7,435 yards from the tips. The on-site restaurant serves a famous Friday night fish fry that is a must-try.

Northeastern Ontario
The city of Greater Sudbury is an amalgamation of Sudbury, Capreol, Nickel Centre, Onaping Falls, Rayside-Balfour, Valley East and Walden, as well as several unincorporated townships. It’s home to a major geological structure called the Sudbury Basin, which is the third-largest and one of the oldest craters on Earth. Locally known as the City of Lakes, Greater Sudbury contains 330 lakes, ample outdoor activities and excellent golf.
Twin Stacks Golf Club
You’d never know this 9-hole, par-35 par executive course was once the site of Inco's decommissioned Coniston Smelter. Today's re-greened property is far from the image of the old sulphur-blackened rocks and tailings ponds of the past, but it’s still known locally as “the Stacks.”

Timberwolf Golf Club
At 7,126 yards and par 72, this course is long and beautiful. The sprawling layout gives players an overwhelming sense of solitude as each hole provides seclusion from the others. And while you’re out golfing, Chef Barry will be busy preparing daily soup, pizza and pasta specials.
