Where is Milton?

Situated in southern Ontario, the town of Milton is located just under an hour’s drive from Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton and Toronto. While GO Transit provides train service to Milton itself, the surrounding region is most easily explored by car or motorcycle.

Things to do in Milton

Shop at a barn market

Browse a 19th-century barn turned market at Springridge Farm. The barn sells everything from clothing to home decor, baked goods and a variety of locally made preserves and honey.

Explore the history of the rail

Take a ride back in time at the Halton County Radial Railway. Glide along two kilometres of scenic train tracks in a vintage streetcar, with a stop at a museum and an ice cream shop.

Tour a blacksmith shop

Located in downtown Milton, the Waldie Blacksmith Shop is one of Ontario’s oldest operating blacksmiths, still in its original location. The shop is open Saturdays from May to October.

Hike a trail

Get out and explore the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail between Crawford Lake and Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area. The area is known for its cliffs and thousand-year-old cedars.

Cool off with some ice cream

Jay’s Ice Cream & Sunshine’s Gelato serves freshly made ice cream and gelato alongside milkshakes and coffee. It’s the perfect treat for a stroll along Milton’s Main Street.
