Mountain biking

If off-road biking is more your speed, strap on your helmet, hop on your mountain bike and shred up backcountry single or double tracks.

With thousands of kilometres of mountain bike trails for you to explore, no two experiences will be the same. Choose from untouched conservation lands, rugged wilderness trails or even abandoned logging roads. And with the fat biking trend increasing, off-road cycling in Ontario is a four-season activity.

Mountain biking is fast becoming a popular resort activity, so can include it on in your vacation plans without having to worry about bringing the bike and gear. Popular resorts like Blue Mountain, Sir Sam’s, Horseshoe and Deerhurst offer a variety of biking experiences, including mountain biking.

Or check out the network of mountain bike trails at adventure destinations like Wilderness ToursLong Point Eco Adventures in Turkey Point or Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Resort and stay overnight in super compact ‘wilderness’ cabins.
