Niagara-on-the-Lake’s vibrant restaurateurs pair with local producers to offer fresh dishes that emulate the seasons.  Pair your dining experience with a local wine, beer, or spirit or head out to the vineyards for your own tasting experience. Guided winery tours are a popular option for sipping your way through the region. For non-alcoholic indulgence, try an afternoon tea service at a stately hotel.

One signature export from the Niagara-on-the-Lake region is icewine. A uniquely produced wine, grape varietals are left on the vine to freeze before being handpicked and crafted into this complex libation. If visiting the region in January make sure to attend the Niagara Icewine Festival for an unique tasting experience.

Located at the mouth of the Niagara River on Lake Ontario, scenic landscapes abound in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Walk, jog, or bike one of the paved or unpaved trails right in town. Practice your swing at one of the many golf courses in the area. Niagara-on-the-Lake remains true to its 19th century architectural roots, so take a stroll in the Historic District and admire the Victorian buildings still standing today.

Fort George National Historic Site is operated by Parks Canada and offers a glimpse into over 200 years of Canadian history.
